Writing/Word Study 15-20 Journal writing: Write about a summer activity that you'd like to do that you've never tried...
Write, then read entry to someone.
Practice sight words, making words with letters, scrambled sentence, use word lists of short and long vowels for “fun” spelling test or try a game with dice to quickly read sight words
Math Review/Revisit: EVERYTHING
Watch this great BrainpopJr video about solving word problems
Then try reading these addition math stories and/or subtraction math stories and try to figure out the answers!
Reflex math or iReady math (10-15 min. on lessons if diagnostic completed) or another math practice app

Use a pencil, ruler and paper for your drawing and try toothpicks with clay, play dough or mini marshmallows to build. (or build your model from your plan using sticks, blocks)

and/or a Little Critter book about eating healthy foods Good for Me and You
Print this booklet about healthy eating. Think about how you can get more “good choice” foods into your breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks!

Practice sight words, making words with letters, scrambled sentence, use word lists from short and long vowels for “fun” spelling test, pick the correct spelling.
Math Review/Revisit EVERYTHING
Try an addition/subtraction coloring sheet (solve, then color by the code) and/or another
Reflex math or iReady math (work on 10-15 lesson if diagnostic completed) or another math practice app
Social Studies Art/Artist of the Past
Watch/listen to my read aloud of Phillipe in Monet’s Garden
Try the project from the artist video by tearing strips of blue paper or use your paint brushes to make your own version of one of Monet’s impressionist paintings.

Try using a styrofoam plate or meat tray to “carve”, paint it, and then make prints like Albrecht Dürer

Print another summer fun journal to use for writing to fill in/illustrate. (2 copies - so an extra for sibling :) )

and/or
Use my crayons sheet or a printer/copier to copy the same box several times or cut out the same label and glue to sheet repeatedly to make your own Warhol inspired picture!
